Carrot lentil soup with fresh herbs and vegetables on a white wooden table, healthy meal for immune support.

 3 cloves garlic, minced
 1 onion, chopped
 3 carrots, chopped
 3 stalks celery, chopped
 2 cups red lentils, rinsed
 8 cups water
 1 tsp basil
 1 tsp oregano
 1 tsp thyme
 1 bay leaf
 salt and black pepper to taste

Combine garlic, onion, carrots, celery, lentils and water together in large pot

Bring to a boil

Add basil, oregano, thyme, bay leaf, salt and pepper

Reduce heat and simmer partially covered 30 minutes or until lentils are soft
